     David Muench is an American photographer. Muench is a landscape photographer. Both of his parents also worked in the field of photography. Muench works primarily in large format photography, meaning that his images are printed large in great detail and clarity. He also uses color in a lot of his landscapes. He has worked with several magazines and has received several awards throughout his life. Muench has used a couple different kind s of cameras throughout his career, they are always analogue , and with those cameras he has used different kind s of lenses , such as wide-angle and a telephoto lenses . John Chervinsky

       I chose to write about John Chervinsky . He was a self-taught photographer. He was fascinated by the concept of time and used it in his work. The work I liked was from his series titled Studio Physics. For this series , Chervinsky would create a st ill life. He would then crop the image and send it off to a painting factory to be painted in oil paint by an anonymous painter. The painting would then be sent back to him. He would then position the painting into the still life and recapture the image. In doing this he does a couple of things. He captures the passage of time, and he captures reality vs. representation.        I truly love the above piece because of how it represents the passage of time. While some images can capture the passage of time through motion, he was able to do it without motion. Marvin Heiferman and My Inspiration

     “WE ARE ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS NOW! ” . This was said because the development of the cell phone allows everyone to take pictures. I disagree with this statement. I disagree because it takes more than simply pushing a button to become a photographer. Like most art forms one must have a talent for expressing themselves. However, they also must have a drive to grow and learn how to improve. Developing and editing an i mage also takes time, effort, and skill. A photographer must capture a story in every image. A story that the viewer must figure out for themselves. It must have a deeper meaning than just a picture of a cute dog. So just because you can take a picture you are not a phot ographer. A photographer is a title earned just like a painter or a sculpt or . You must be an artist.
